Dr. Schlegel joined Capital City Medical Associates in 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa, in 1971. He also received a Master of Science Degree in Immunology from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Mo., in 1977. Dr. Schlegel completed his Residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and his Cardiology Fellowship at the Wilford Hall USAP Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
